Steps to Remove a Wasp Nest

Things Needed

– Wasp spray – Bee suit with gloves – Extension pole (16ft) – Cobweb brush

Step 1: Spray Nest

• Move slowly and thoroughly to treat the nest.
• Stand at least 10 feet away.
• Spray around all areas of the nest
• Wait a minimum of 5 minutes after spraying.

Step 2: Install a Cobweb brush to the extension pole.

Step 3: Place the brush on the nest and spin it

• Spinning the pole/brush should cause all to fall to the ground.
• Stand clear not to have it fall on you
• Be careful – even when dead, you can still get a stinger in your skin.
• The nest and wasp have poison on them; as we said, the stingers can still sting the skin.

Step 4: Wearing hand protection, scoop up the nest and dead wasp.

Step 5: Dispose of nests and dead wasps where children and animals can’t get to them
